Job Description

Starting wage up to:$17.50/hr with exp.

Specific Accountabilities:
  • Field incoming requests to the Service Desk via both telephone and e-mail.
  • Track, document, resolve, and escalate technical incidents and problems.
  • Provide problem-solving solutions to minimize disruptions to store and corporate operations.
  • Facilitate polling/posting as scheduled for timely transfer of data to all network systems.
  • Reinforce SLAs to manage end-user expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and set-up lane and self-scan equipment, APs, hubs, and switches, scanning and receiving guns, store and corporate workstations, printers, scanners and fax machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair of POS, PC workstations and scanning guns.
  • Assist with store server set-ups.
  • Set-up and troubleshoot RTI software, telephones, OMNI units and time clocks.
  • Perform back-ups and data integrity tasks.
  • Set-up and troubleshoot Windows, XP, 2010.
  • Set-up and maintain active directory users and groups.
  • Generate and submit various reports timely.
  • Verify product deliveries and ship equipment.
  • Service and support all POS systems.
  • Transfer equipment, install and repair hardware/software and help with physical inventory.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient installation of hardware/software.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by completing educational opportunities, reviewing professional publications, benchmarking state of the art practices and networking.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • A+ certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years technical support experience.
  • Experience with Busch’s POS front-end/POS systems preferred.
  • Proficient organization and planning skills, to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in excel, word and email. Able to learn and use a variety of proprietary applications and technology.
  • Knowledge of Networking, Server Support, Desktop Computing, Windows XP, 2003, 2007, 2010
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Able to travel between stores on any scheduled day.
