Receiving and Quality Associate

Job Description

Our company is looking for smart, energetic people who possess a strong work ethic to work full-time in our Shipping or Receiving departments at our plant in Plymouth, MI.
 
You will enjoy working in a state-of-the art facility with supplied uniforms and protective equipment. The work areas are kept very clean, always keeping safety and comfort as top priorities. The manufacturing floor is temperature controlled and filled with skylights to ensure pleasant working conditions.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
·  Accurately count and verify amounts and types of items being delivered.
·  Read manufacturing prints and check parts against prints.
·  Accurately enter products received into computer.
·  Process damages.
·  Handle returns to vendors.
·  Forward discrepancy reports to vendors.
·  Assist driver with deliveries when needed.
·  Operate Fork Lift and Pallet Jack to move deliveries from receiving area.
·  Deliver materials to departments.
·  Use hands to pack different size objects.
·  Other duties as assigned.
 
WORK SCHEDULE
One Shift – hours would be around school schedule
Monday – Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Open every Saturday 7:00 AM - Noon
 
QUALIFICATIONS
·  18 years of age with a High School diploma.
·  Strong hand-eye coordination.
·  Strong organizational and time management skills.
·  Ability to read and write in English.
·  Ability to read and follow assembly procedure documents.
·  Quick learner with a strong work ethic.
·  Ability to lift heavy objects.
·  Attention to detail.
·  Proficient computer skills.
·  Ability to work on your feet for 9-hour shifts.
·  Ability to communicate effectively in English.
·  Submit to a drug screen and physical.
·  Clean driving record.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of the job.
