Construction Manager Intern
Job Description
- Construction Project Manager Internship for Commercial/Residential Construction
- $19-$22 Hourly
- Internship is 3-5 days per week (Ad Hoc)
- Communicate with subcontractors, team members, and clients
- Assist Project Managers with logistics of jobs, estimates, materials, site visits, etc.
- Help create job files, punch lists, and assist with punch walks
- Apply previous hands-on construction experience to assist with job site/warehouse labor
- Provide administrative support including filing, emails, scanning, answering phones, etc.
- Respond to after-hour mitigation/restoration emergency services as part of an on-call rotation, (5-8 days per month)
Basic Qualifications
- Recently completed (past 2 years) or enrolled in a construction or engineering program
- 1+ years of hands-on construction experience
- 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience
- Valid Michigan Driver’s license and ability to operate motor vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- 2+ years of residential hands-on construction
- Microsoft excel experience
- Experience driving trucks, trailers, and powered industrial trucks.
Essential Physical & Cognitive Requirements
- Continuous lifting, pulling, pushing of objects
- Ability to individually lift and/or carry 50lb's
- Ability to multi-task, read, write, calculate data have reliable & predictable attendance
