About Us: PDX Slots is a startup gaming company focused on building the infrastructure (both technical and compliance) to publish games for use in regulated online casinos. Our team is passionate about creating immersive gaming experiences using cutting-edge technologies. We are seeking a talented and motivated Entry-Level Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Job Description: As an Entry-Level Engineer at PDX Slots, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the development of our gaming platform. You will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of our gaming software using .NET technologies (and others). This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure the scalability of our gaming platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C# and .NET framework.
  • Understand our architecture to suggest improvements and find potential failpoints.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure the stability and reliability of our gaming software.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our development processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET framework.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of software development best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for gaming and a desire to learn and grow in the gaming industry.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with game development tools and engines.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.

We are also looking for the correct culture fit, we are an early stage startup. Startups tend to have less defined roles and responsibilities, ie you may wear more than one hat. The global gaming industry is very international, so there should be ample opportunties to travel - we are pro-digital-nomad lifestyle but currently are based out of Detroit.
