In the therapy center there is OT, PT, Speech Pathology, and music therapy. As an undergrad I am still not 100% sure which path in special education I want to take. By aiding the children you also get to experience all these different therapies throughout. This internship brought me clarity regarding the path I want to continue on and was AMAZING experience.
What I wish was different
It was my first year in the program and many of the other people working there as aides have been there for year or it was their full time job. I felt behind but everyone was very understanding and helpful. This also pushed me to be a better aide.
